Nature Park Southern Eifel

The South Eifel Nature Park is an extensive protected area in the Eifel, whose scenic diversity can be explored on numerous hiking and biking trails. As the second oldest nature park in Germany and the oldest in Rhineland-Palatinate, the protected area offers idyllic recreational opportunities and interesting excursion destinations for young and old on an area of 432 km².

Let yourself be enchanted by the rich variety of flora and fauna, marvel at bizarre rock formations, explore deep river valleys and gorges and listen to the lapping of the water over stony ground.

On a total of 550 km long and well-developed hiking trails through coniferous and deciduous forests, past steep rock faces, along enchanting rivers, you can immerse yourself in the unique natural experience of the Eifel and enjoy it with all your senses.
